I'm still old school and am most productive editing a lot text with 'vi' and a shell terminal. I can move text around, edit, etc without my fingers leaving the keyboard (to a mouse, although the trackpad is good).

I then bring the raw text into Pages or other for spellchecking and formatting.

Maybe it's because I still have my @acm.org email address after 42 years, even before real email. And of course "UNIX: Live Free or Die".
