Funny, I hardly ever sweat at my own programs (and I love programming) - but definitely swear at stupid other programs and their programmers. I think it's because I intricately know my code, so a 'bug' is just me not writing correct code. My compiler tried to warn me ... etc. but what a joy when your design and coding works!

Obviously team programmers exhibit what you observed, but that's not the fault of elegant Computer Science - rather human nature.
